Growing up in a family of fishermen, I have always gotten great pleasure in spending time on the water. Being an old fashioned kind of guy, I like things that are traditional, and wooden lures have always been a favorite of mine. As lure makers began to move away from wood, and to alternative materials, I began toying with the idea of making my own. I purchased an old used lathe, and went to work crafting my version of a wood plug, and then came the airbrush kit. Through lots of trial and error, I came up with a plug that caught fish. I began to share them with friends, acquaintances and anyone that wanted to talk fishing with me. Through this process, people started to reach out, and the demand for my lures has grown into PlugIt Handcrafted Tackle.
